Brian asked:

I have my computer hooked up with just a vga port on the back of my hdtv (720p tv). But the only problem I have is finding the right resolution, the one i think is right always cuts of the side of the screen and I don’t know how to fix it.

Ok, I have a Dell Inspiron E1505 Laptop running WinXP, and a Samsung HDTV. I have a VGA cable that I am trying to use to connect my laptop to the TV So I can show pictures to my family from my laptop. The Problem is, whenever I plug the VGA cable into the laptop and the other end into the HDTV, when I go to the PC source, It either says “Mode Not Available”, or when it is done “Searching for Signals”, i just blacks out.

Help?

Ive already tried a VGA cable from my computer to my 32″ HDTV and it looks excellent. I’m wondering if its worth going out and buying an hdmi cable. Does it really look that much better?

I have a Vizio hdtv and an Aspire Windows Vista Laptop. I bought a VGA PC Monitor Replacement Cable and plugged it into my tv and my laptop. The tv is just playing its original channels, but how do I get my laptop to show up on the tv?
